Becoming a Core Member
As part of the beginning of the process of our work with core members we review existing assessment and treatment material before considering, in negotiation with statutory agencies, whether to use structured professional judgement tools to further inform the shared assessment of risk of harm.
Our staff are trained to use the most accurate and sophisticated assessment tools. These include:
-
RSVP - Risk of sexual violence protocol.
-
SARA and B-Safer - Spousal assault risk assessment
-
HCR-20 - Historical clinical risk management
-
PCL-R - Psychopathy checklist revised
-
SAM - Stalker assessment and management
-
Thornton’s risk matrix 2000-2007.
In addition, our staff are familiar with VISOR, OASys and Assett.
All of our assessment material is shared with our partner organisations.
